Saints Cricket Club
Welcome to the Saints Cricket Club!
Founded in 1950 in a small part of West Sussex, this wandering club still carries on to this day and plays around 10 fixtures a season. Due to some of the original members now too old (even to bat with a runner), the club is on a recruitment drive to bring in some young blood. If you enjoy spending your Saturdays & Sundays in the summer playing some good (and some bad) cricket but without being overly serious then please consider playing for the club. The club carries on its firm traditions of a decent pub lunch before play, plenty of banter on and off the field, a posh end of season dinner and a golf day.
Being a wandering team, the games take place at various picturesque grounds around West Sussex and neighbouring counties. The fixture list is not too onerous with only the 9 games scheduled for 2010, but we are rebuilding the squad so that we can easily accommodate for the games we already have and also with a view to increasing the amount of fixtures we can play in the future.
If you are keen for a bit of friendly cricket, then join the group and I will put you on the email list for this summer and also send you the club fixture card with all the necessary contact details.
